Splitting lets you pull some pages out of a big PDF, or save every page as its own file. Use it when you only need pages 3 to 5 of a long document, or when you want to send one page by itself.
Open the Split PDF tool
Step by step
- Open the Split PDF tool and choose your PDF. You will see a small picture of every page with its number.
- Pick what you want: keep only some pages as one new PDF, or save every page as a separate PDF in a ZIP file.
- For the first option, type the pages to keep, for example 1-3,5. That keeps pages 1, 2, 3 and 5.
- Press Start and download the result.
Tips
- Use the page pictures to find the right numbers before you type them.
- A ZIP file is one download that holds all the single pages. Open it on your computer or in a file app on your phone.
- To delete pages instead of keeping them, the Remove pages tool is quicker.
Common questions
Can I split by page ranges?
Yes. Type ranges with a dash and separate them with commas, like 1-3,7,10-12.
Does splitting change my original file?
No. Your original file is untouched. You get a new file.
