Merging puts several PDF files into one document, in the order you choose. It is handy for sending one file instead of five, for joining scanned pages with a cover letter, or for combining chapters of a report.
Open the Merge PDF tool
Step by step
- Open the Merge PDF tool on the home page.
- Tap the box and choose two or more PDF files. You can pick them one by one or all together.
- Use the up and down arrows next to each file to set the order. The small picture shows the first page of each file, so you can check you have the right one.
- Press Merge PDFs. Your merged file downloads straight away.
Tips
- Put the files in the right order before you press the button. The result follows the order of the list.
- If one file is password protected, unlock it first with the Unlock PDF tool.
- Very large files can take a moment on older phones, because everything happens on your own device.
Common questions
Is there a limit on how many files I can merge?
There is no fixed limit on this site. The real limit is the memory of your phone or computer, so a few dozen normal files are fine.
Will the quality change?
No. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and images keep their quality.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The merge runs in your browser and the files never leave your device.
Privacy
